Dabur Amla hair Oil review
The GOOD
It’s great oil and it’s super conditioning for softening hair.
After using few weeks, hair will get darker in a short period
Before shampoo, you can use it like a hot oil treatment.
The BAD
If you use it for bleached hair and blonde hair it will try to change your hair color into different color. Your brown hair with light highlights will also change into black color if you want to.
The drawback is the strong smell of joributi like Ayurveda and get the feelings of headache due to its strong smell.
This one would be much pleasant if the bottle had a small hole for opening so that oil could come out drop by drop with short period of time; instead it has a big hole.

Product Description
This Hair Oil combines the amla fruit with a blend of vegetable and mineral oils to promote long, black, shiny healthy hair. Dabur claims that, regular application can assist in reducing split ends and minor hair loss. Dabur Amla has been the secret of beautiful black hair in south asia and around the world for over 50 years. It smells awful, not even herbal. However the results are great. I think that it is not even the amla but the mineral oil.
Packaging
Dabur amla hair oil comes in a HDPE bottle with a screw knob. It is green dark in colour with a green tinge. This oil comes with a watery version and non-sticky feature with ayurvedic fragrance.
My experience with dabur amla and Review
I bought this oil over four months ago from superstore but honestly speaking, I was put off by the strong smell. I didn’t use it for 20 days after purchase. it smells like a hospital’s cleaning material strength soap or cleaner. But, my hair was in desperate need of protein and coconut oil does not work for me.
Again, I think of this oil and I have decided to give this a try. For the time being it smells bad but after few minutes, the smell seems low. I hear that, it is better if you heat it then you will get the good result. After heating, I put it on section by section and let it set for an hour. Well, I noticed, immediately feel my hair smooth. The good thing is that the oil is not sticky. Then, I had to rinse it out for a good 5 minutes before shampooing. Amazingly, I feel the softness of my hair.
The color of the oil is green.
So don’t hesitant about purchasing this oil for its first smell. Try it, if you want to fet moisturized, tangle free and thick black hair. In bottle label, the directions say to use it 2-3 times a week for better results.
For writing my experience, for the review, I will say, the smell is worth the best results for hair. After, 3 weeks later, it made my hair thicker and super soft. I have normal hair, it’s kind of wavy, and a less frizzy. I would love say one more thing, hair also shine as well, and the most important part is that this oil made me love this product was that my hair did grow faster. Moreover, my hair looks healthy and feels much stronger. Yes, it is true that it has a distinct scent, but it didn’t make me sick and after a couple of uses I got used to it.
Someone also complaining about it’s ingredients. For those who complaining that the oil was extracted in canola oil, that’s, why I looked up the nutritional contents of canola oil. I see that, canola oil is rich in vitamin E as well as has high contents of Omega 3- and 6- fatty acids ( better way higher in Omega 3- than almond oil).
In Asia to India Dabur Amla Tel or oil is known for its ayurvedic benefits. The, amazing Amla is known for its immunity powers against cold and bodily heat. You will get the full benefit during summer, when hair need conditioning. It is also give a protection against dust and heat.

Will I Repurchase
If you have an oily scalp, then you should not buy this oil. The smell, as I said before, is a bit strong and herbal/medicinal (as others have said). BUT don’t stop from the great benefits!!!
I must say, that I will continue using this hair oil. One attention fr your kind information is that, ifyou have light colored hair you should not use it. For LIGHT COLORED HAIR you would not use Dabur Amla hair oil.
The reason is that the Dabur Amla Will darken your light (blonde, light brown) colour hair and I think it might take a while for it to return to normal colouring again.
