DBBL introduces Virtual Cards for freelancers and app developers and IT professionals

No need to tell that, DBBL has started the first e-payment gateway in Bangladesh. Now, this  bank also go ahead with another steps. DBBL has also introduced  the virtual cards for app developers, computer programmers, freelancers, IT professionals for  international online transaction. DBBL’s virtual card has an annual limit not more than 300$.

The 300$ amount  could pay for mobile and game application, game development, software development, hosting, cloud service, domain registration, software licence, game buying and also used for online market places such as Android, Blackberry, Firefox, Windows.

Bangladesh Bank   has been instructed many banks to start virtual card for solving the problem for freelancers to individual app developers and programmers for online transactions. BB, instructed and circulated, FE Circular No. 23 signed by Md. Abdul Mannan, Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Bank was spread to allow banks issue virtual card. In a result, Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd. has started this service at all of their branches for the time being.

Mr. Sayem Ahmed, Chairman Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of DBBL, Mr. K.S. Tabrez, Managing Director of provate commercial bank; and Shameem Ahsan, president of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), inaugurated the online transaction services globally. It was held in Westin hotel in Dhaka on Tuesday at press conference. The BASIS Director, Suny Md. Ashraf Khan spoke at the conference presided by BASIS President and FBCCI Director Shameem Ahsan.

BASIS will verify an applicant that he or she could eligible for that card. BASIS will authorise the authentic applicants and to direct to the bank. Before, BASIS offers those facility only its members. But now it is opened for all students who are eligible and certified from BASIS .

All the existing DBBL banking certified programmers or freelancers will also be able to get services from any of the BKB branches.

There are other members like BASIS Senior Vice President, Russell T Ahmed; BASIS Secretary General, Uttam Kumar Paul; BASIS Joint Secretary General, Mostafizur Rahman Sohel; BASIS Treasurer, Shah Imraul Kaeesh and associates from Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd were present on the occasion.
