সাধারণত আমরা চার প্রকারের এসি দেখতে পাই।

আসুন জেনে নেই এসি কি কি কাজ করে ঃ

এসি মূলত তিনটি কাজ করে । প্রথমতঃ রুমের তাপমাত্রা কমিয়ে আনে, বাতাসের আদ্রতা কমায় এবং বাতাসকে ফিল্টার করে ।

এসি কেনার আগে সেসব বিষয় মাথায় রাখতে হবে ঃ

শব্দ ঃ

যে এসি যত কম শব্দ করে সেটি তত ভাল। শব্দ পরীক্ষায় সেসব এসি শব্দ একটি ফ্যান ঘোরার মতো শব্দ হয় সেগুলি ভাল এসি হিসেবে গণ্য করা হয় । ভাল শব্দের এসি যখন নীচে সেট করা হয় তখন যারা হালকা ঘুমান তাদের  ডিসটারব হতে পারে আর যখন হাই থাকবে তখন সবাই এর শব্দে বিরক্ত হবে ।

জানালার লোকেসানের ধরনঃ

যেসব জানালা দিয়ে বাতাস আসে সেসব জানালায় যদি এসি লাগানো হয় তবে টা ভাল কাজ করে। এজন্য রুমের মাঝ বরাবর যদি জানালা না থাকে তবে টা একটি সমস্যা কেননা রুমকে সর্বত্র সমারভাবে ঠান্ডা করার জন্য এসি মাঝ বরারবর বাতাস দিতে হবে । এজন্য পরীক্ষা করুন আপনার এসির কোন দিকে বাতাস থাকা দরকার । কিছু এসিতে ফ্যান এর রাখার হাতা থাকে ।

এসি সঠিকভাবে ইন্সটল করুনঃ

এসির কার্যকরীতা ঠিক ভাবে পাওয়ার জন্য এটি সঠিক ইন্সটল করতে হবে। জানালায় বসানোর অধিকাংশ এসি দুই দরজার জানালার জন্য। এসি লাগানোর পর নিশ্চিত হবেন যে এটি জানালার সাথে একই লেভেলে আছে যাতে পানি ঠিকভাবে বের হয়ে যেতে পারে।এসিকে গরম করে এমন যেকোনো ডিভাইস এসি থেকে দূরে রাখবেন।

  • যদি দুই জনের বেশী রমে থাকেন, তবেন দুইএর বেশী প্রতি জনের জন্য ৬০০ব্রিটিশ থারমাল ইউনিট যোগ করে সাইজ ঠিক করতে হবে।
  • আপনি যদি এটি রান্নাঘরে ব্যাবহার করতে চান তবে এটির সক্ষমতা ৪০০০ব্রিটিশ থারমাল ইউনিট বাড়াতে হবে ।

এস ই ই আর রেটিং

সব এসির একটি কার্যকরীতার মাপ আছে যাকে বলে এসিইই র রেটিং –মানে সিজনাল এনার্জি ইফিসিএন্সি রেটিং। হলুদ এনার্জি গাইডে এসইইআর রেটিং লেখা থাকে প্রতিটি এসিতে । এই রেটিং যত বেশী তার মানে এসি তত কার্যকর আর তত কম এনার্জি খরচ ডাণ্ডা করার জন্য।

গত দশক থেকে সর্বনিম্ন এসইইআর রেটিং বাড়তে শুরু করছে। আগের এসি গুলিতে যেখানে রেটিং ছিল ৬ ,২০০৬ সালের জানুয়ারী মাসের পড়ে তৈরি এমন এসির রেটিং কমপক্ষে ১৩। সবচেয়ে ভাল রেটিং যুক্ত মডেলের রেটিং হল ১৫ থেকে ১৭।  সহজে বলা যায়- ১৩ এসইইআর যুক্ত এসি ১০ এসইইআর  এর রেটিং এর এসি থেকে ৩০ % বেশী কার্যকরী ।

শক্তি সঞ্চয় বৈশিষ্ট্য ঃ

বেশী এস ইই আর যুক্ত এসির অন্যান্য শক্তি সঞ্চয় বৈশিষ্ট্য গুলি যা এসি কেনার সময় লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে টা হল –

  • বড় কয়েল বেশী কার্যকরীভাবে তাপ নির্গমনের জন্য।

u উচ্চ তাপমাত্রা রেটিং (ইইআর) যা ১১.৬ এর বেশী এবং থারমাল সম্প্রসারণ ভাল্ভ ।u একটি পরিবর্তনশীল গতির হাপর বিদ্যুৎ খরচ কমায় ও ইউজেস ঠিক রাখে।  u ফ্যান অনলি সুইচ- যার মাধ্যমে আপনি কুলিং বন্ধ করার পরেও ফ্যান চলতে থাকবে এমন বেবস্থা করতে পারেন যাতে  প্রাকৃতিক বাতাসে ঠান্ডা হতে থাকে । u স্বয়ংক্রিয় ডিলে ফ্যান সুইচ  -এটি লম্বা সময় ধরে ফ্যান চালু রাখে যাতে ভিতরের ঠান্ডা বাতাস থাকে কমপ্রেসর বন্ধ করার পরেও ।  u ফিল্টার নির্দেশক লাইট -যা আপনাকে সঠিক নির্দেশ দেবে কখন ফিল্টার পরিবর্তন করতে হবে।

আপনি আপনার এসি যত পরিষ্কার  রাখবেন এটি তত বেশী কার্যকরী থাকবে।  এসি  কেনার সময় , এসি কিভাবে কাজ করে , সে বিষয়গুলি আপনার জানা দরকার – এম্পারেজ – সাধারণত রুমগুলিতে ১৫ এম্পস এর সার্কিট রেটেড বিদ্যুৎ থাকে। যদি আপনার রুমে এসি না থাকে  তবে এই নিরবচ্ছিন্ন লাইনের বিষয়টি  মাথায় রাখুন। বড় এসির জন্য  ১২ থেকে ১৫ এম্পস এর সার্কিট ব্রেকার দরকার ।এর জন্য আপনার নিরবচ্ছিন্ন লাইন লাগবে ।

কার্যকরীতা ঃ 

কোন মডেল কত ভাল, এসি কিভাবে কাজ করে, এটা বজার জন্য প্রস্তুতকারকের এনার্জি এফিসিএন্সি রেটিং লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে। ইইআর যত বেশী আপনি আপনার এনার্জি খরচ তত কম।  প্লাগ এর ধরনঃঅনেক মডেলেই সাধারণত ১২৫ ভি/ ১৫ এ , থ্রি পিন প্লাগ   থাকে যা সব বারিতেই ব্যাবহার করা যায় । বড় এসি গুলি থাকে ১২৫ ভি/ ২০ ভি ,২৫০ ভি/ ১৫ এ  অর আরও উচ্চ মাত্রার প্লাগ যার জন্য আপনাকে ইলেকট্রিশিয়ান ডাকতে হবে সার্কিট উচ্চমাত্রার করার জন্য। আপনি যদি একটি এসি পরিবর্তন করে, অন্যটি লাগান তবে এমন এসি কিনুন যার প্লাগ আগের মডেলের সাথে ব্যবহার করার যায় ।

এনার্জি ও সময় বাচানোর জন্য এবং এসির বাতাসের গুনাগুন বাড়াতে আমাদের দেখা উচিৎ নীচের বৈশিষ্ট্য গুলি আছে কিনা  এনার্জি সঞ্চয়ক সুইচ- সাধারনতো এসির কমপ্রেসর বন্ধ করার পরেও এসি চলতে থাকে ।কিন্তু যদি এই সুইচ থাকে তবে থারম স্টার্ট বন্ধ হওয়ার পর এনার্জি সঞ্চয়ক সুইচ বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে যা আপনার বিদ্যুৎ খরচ কমাবে ।

আপনাকে বিছানা থেকে নামতে হবে না কষ্ট করে।   স্লিপ মোড আছে কিনা ঢেকে নিবেন যা রাতে ঘুমানোর পর রুমের তাপমাত্রা অল্প বাড়িয়ে দেয় ।  টাইমার -এর সাহায্যে আপনি পূর্ব নিরধারিত একটি সময়ে এসি চালু করতে বা বন্ধ করতে পারবেন। যেমন ধরুন আপনি বাইরে থেকে ফিরে আপনার রুম ঠান্ডা দেখতে চান- টাইমার দিয়ে এটি করতে পারবেন।  ভ্যানটিলেসান –যার মাধ্যমে বাইরের ঠান্ডা বাতাস ভিতরে আনা হয়।
